Ithaca Auto Paint History

Elmira and Ithaca Auto Paint were at one time part of a five store chain, the Elmira store first opened in June of 1978 with 3 employees and the Ithaca store opened in 1990. Elmira and Ithaca Auto Paint grew to a total of 15 employees and sales revenue of 2 million dollars.

In November of 1993 Mark and Michael DePrimo purchased the Elmira and Ithaca stores and continued to build the business. The stores now boast a total of 22 employees and sales of over 3 million dollars per year. The brothers knew in order to keep their business competitive that they needed to stay up to date and be innovative in their field. In 1998 PPG Commercial Performace Coating was added and almost immediately the stores achieved a Platinum Distributor status. In 2005 PPG awarded the DePrimo’s and their staff the Platinum Plus Distributor status.

Elmira and Ithaca Auto Paint stores offer local and regional delivery and technical support along with troubleshooting. The PPG trained staff can offer overnight aftermarket parts availability, a large inventory of all automotive paint, supplies and equipment.
